Boys + Relationships = Complicated much?

You have those girls, with the perfect guy who complain about every single little thing he does. For example, he gets her a white rose instead of a red one. Appreciate him. He's not going to stick around if you criticize every attempt he makes to try to make you happy. You've probably got just as much wrong with you as he does, except you think you're too good to have problems. I mean seriously, step back a bit. Give yourself time to see what YOU need to work on, because it's not always his fault.
Then you have those girls who WANT guy problems. They don't have a guy in their life, and they want one. Believe me, you don't want guy problems.
They make you stop thinking about the important things in life like work and your friends and family. Remember that the friends you have will always be there for you if the boyfriend starts being a cunt. And when your friends are being complete asses, you have family. Corny, I know, but still. They will always be there for you, even if they kick you outta the house.
Then you have girls who just NEED a guy for the sake of being able to say they have a guy. Even if they don't like them, they still use the guys to make them feel adored. To said girls; do you not have the self-confidence to be SINGLE? It's not that hard, try it.

Why can't guys be easier to understand?
This guy. He's going out with this girl.
He's my ex-boyfriend, and we're basically still together.
YES. I am the evil 'mistress', and I've told him many times that he shouldn't still do stuff with me.
He says, what she doesn't know won't hurt her. And I'm like, fuck's sake. I'm not going to do anything with you until it's just you and me.
Thing is, I'm worried that when it's just me and him, that he'll do the same to me.
Yes, I've been with him before and let's just say that before, it didn't quite work out because of distance. He has his restricted license now, meaning he can come see me whenever.
